San Bernardino silver is quarried on the north side of the San Bernardino Pass in the Graubünden municipality of Rheinwald. It is a light gray-silvery gneiss with white structures of different sizes, which makes it a lively natural stone. In some cases, golden-yellow color nuances give it an additional warm tone. San Bernardino Silver can be processed into all common products for interior and exterior architecture as well as garden and urban planning. Due to its pronounced layering, the stone can be excellently split. This enables the production of classic bricks and split tiles in particular.

Tailor-made processing for San Bernardino silver

In addition to mechanical processing with high-performance machines, the experience and passion of our skilled workers is also required. The splitting of bricks and slabs for San Bernardini silver in particular requires manual expertise in order to do justice to the typical structures of the gneiss.
